Religion says, other people are the problem. Spirituality says, you are the problem.
Religion says, you are a victim of circumstance. Spirituality says, you are a creator and can change your circumstances at any moment.
Religion says, someone else is in charge of your fate. Spirituality says, you are in charge of your fate.
Religion says, follow me or you will suffer an eternity of hell. Spiritualty says, you make your own hell.
Religion says, you are dust in the wind. Spirituality says, you are the wind and the dust.
Religion says, you can’t have a personal relationship with God and you need a church, synagogue, mosque, or temple to maintain your relationship. Spirituality says, you are always connected to God and no place or person will ever enhance or change that.
Religion says, there are victims and villains. Spirituality says, there are no victims and villains- only aspects of consciousness playing out a desired role.
Religion says, you must learn through fear of God. Spirituality says, God is love and fear puts distance between you and God.
Religion says, there is right and wrong. Spirituality says, there is no right and wrong- only your beliefs and perspective of right and wrong.
Religion says, God knows best not you. Spirituality says, you know best. You are one with God.
Religion says, my strict programming is for your benefit. Spirituality says, anything not in your best interest is not for your benefit.
Religion says, you must follow me. Spirituality says, you must follow yourself.
Religion says, I am your teacher. Spirituality says, you are your teacher.
Religion says, do as I say not as I do. Spiritualty says, do and say what’s in alignment for your highest good.
Religion says, you are dependent on me. Spirituality says, you are dependent on no one.
Religion says, I control you. Spirituality says, you are in control of yourself.
Religion says, you have one opportunity to get it right on Earth. Spirituality says, there are limitless experiences to create and there is no right.
Religion says, treat others the way you want to be treated. Spiritualty says, treat yourself the way you want to be treated and you will treat others the same way.
Religion says, you need ascended masters, angels, and prophets of God. Spirituality says, you don’t need anyone but they can be a useful guide.
Religion says, count on me to discern for you. Spirituality says, you can discern for yourself.
Religion says, judgement and condemnation in the name of God is right and just. Spirituality says, judgment and condemnation is neither right nor just.
Religion says, we must save others who don’t believe. Spirituality says, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and no one needs saving.
Religion says, I am the way, the truth, and light. Spirituality says, you are the way, the truth, and the light.
Religion says, love your enemy. Spirituality says, there are no enemies.
Religion says, all is one. Spirituality says, one is all.
Religion says, I will give you purpose. Spirituality says, you must find your own purpose.
Religion is about power and control of what is possible, what to believe, what is true, what is not true, and how to behave and act in accordance with what is taught.
Spirituality is about being free to choose your own path, knowing you are not separate from God, being accountable for everything you create, and understanding what truth is through your own experience.
